Away We Stay

A program note. The title is changing a bit.

This began as Away We Go, appropriate as we were on the move. Now we are not. We're away but we're staying.

I knew this would turn into something else when our full time life on the road concluded. I wondered whether to keep writing. Realized shortly that my Tuesday self-imposed publishing deadline was the reason I wrote at all. I read through all of the entries since it began. I found that I remembered so much more having written these things down.

The stories will come from a much smaller circle, geographically speaking.

I don't want to lose that. I need the motivation of sending this to you and to the world. I shouldn't, but I do. So I'm going to keep posting for the foreseeable future. Shipping the work every Tuesday. It's almost more important now to keep hold of the things that I liked most about traveling and being forced to notice is on the top of that list.

The stories will come from a much smaller circle, geographically speaking. But I hope they will maintain the soul of what's it's been until now. Maybe with a little more high desert flavor.

I hope you'll come with me on the next step. I also want each of you to know how much your words (especially when it's the "I feel that way too") have helped me continue. Particularly after vulnerable posts.

Thank you.
