This is a game that is thoroughly elegant below the knees and unabashadly violent above them. These humans soar and dance and sidestep and sprint without not one iota of attention paid to what their skates are doing.

You know that moment when you know you're going to have to do something really, desperately unpleasant? And you know that it's going to suck and that you're actively making the choice to do the sucky thing? But you also know that if you don't, something awful is going to happen and you'll rue the day when you had the choice whether or not to do the sucky thing?
Away We Go: Three P.M.
Out loud to him I say, I so agree. This is the hardest part of the day. I sigh, hoping that breath counts for yoga so I can cross that one off too.
